Cheilanthes lanosa (Michaux) D.C. Eaton — Hairy Lipfern

Habitat:

Dry outcrops of felsic or intermediate metamorphic and igneous rocks. Much the commonest lip-fern in our area, a sexual diploid, and the most eastern of a predominantly “southwestern” genus.
